Mercedes Celebrates 105 Years of Building Four-Wheel Drive Vehicles 276

The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 105 years since the company has offered, for the first time, the all-wheel drive technology.“This year marks the 105th anniversary of the very first commercially available four wheel drive vehicle – created in 1907 by Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG). The ‘Dernburg-Wagen’ featured not only four-wheel drive but was also equipped with four-wheel steering to aid manoeuvrability”, as Mercedes Benz says in its official press release.

Approximately 400 participants traveled to the arctic circle and experienced the unique performance of AMG Mercedes vehicles in a breathtaking winter landscape, from mid January to early April 2012. Under the guidance of a total of 14 instructors, participants had the opportunity to improve their driving skills and take up the challenge with snow and ice.  45 AMG cars were in constant use and covered a total of nearly 200,000 kilometers. BMW lanseaza un nou teaser cu viitorul X6 M50d Atunci cand divizia BMW M lucreaza la un nou proiect, intreaga planeta asteapta cu sufletul la gura. La fel se intampla si in cazul de fata, suspansul fiind amplificat continuu de constructorul bavarez prin lansarea a noi teasere video. Desi nu este nimic oficial la acest moment, se pare ca urmatorul filmulet ne ofera un prim preview al viitorului BMW X6 M50d.

Volkswagen ar putea veni la Geneva cu Golf GTI Cabrio Anul trecut la Festivalul Worthersee din Austria, oficialii Volkswagen au prezentat conceptul unui Golf GTI Cabrio. Ei bine, de aceasta data, exista o serie de zvonuri care ne spun ca la Geneva vom putea admira versiunea de serie a prototipului amintit mai sus. Daca zvonurile vor fi confirmate, aceasta va fi ultima versiune a lui Golf VI, intrucat, in toamna, la Salonul Auto de la Paris, germanii vor prezenta cea de-a saptea generatie
